A local business team led by George Edwards of CanadaUK Partners has delighted its overseas client by becoming a finalist in the hotly contested award for ‘Best Creative Shell Scheme Stand’ at a leading Window & Door Industry Show. The Awards were organised by the FIT (Fabricator Installer Trade) Show, which took place at the International Centre, Telford, from 12-14 April 2016. This success comes at a time when UKTI (UK Trade & Investment) is promoting Exporting is GREAT week to SMEs around the country.
Working on behalf of 360 Innovations, a Canadian company wishing to raise awareness and gain entry to the UK with its window and door software, the team consisting of George Edwards, Alison Page of Alison Page Marketing (APM) and Kate Marston of KM Design, put together and delivered a marketing plan during 2015 and 2016 culminating in participation at the FIT Show.
The FIT Show is the primary focus for the UK window, door and conservatory industry; forging a bridge between the manufacturers and distributors of products, components and services and the companies and individuals that fabricate and install them. Attendance at this year’s show was 45% up on 2014 with 8,502 unique visitors and more than 180 exhibitors occupying four halls at the conference centre.
Key elements of the marketing communication plan for 360i included: in-depth research into the UK market, competitors and potential clients; targeted data purchase; design and fulfilment of a bespoke brochure; telemarketing; social media; and attendance at the show. The stand itself was designed and built by Doran Design and Aiver Contracts, experienced stand contractors, with graphics created by KM Design.
